High-level Description
Advancing HCA's digital platforms to meet patient safety needs during the COVID19 pandemic.
- The Need: The global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) prompted the shift to remote services in many industries to prevent the spread of the infectious disease. Because that need was surfacing in many areas in healthcare and at HCA, a digital patient experience (DPX) team was created to try and solve for patient safety and prevent the spread of the infectious disease.
The Ask: to develop a digital patient registration experience, offering contactless or contact-free services available both on PCs and mobile platforms.
My Roles & Contributions:
1) Interviewed patients and documented pain points with registration forms
2) Executed market research and reviewed industry patient portals
3) Created wireframes and mock-ups
4) Created dataflow diagrams
5) Drafted Epics & user stories in Confluence and Jira
6) Created an MVP and Phase 2 Roadmap
7) Facilitated sprint planning, sprint executions, sprint retrospectives and daily stand-ups
8) Communicated progress throughout the product implementation to senior leadership
9) Created user guides for nurse navigators
10) Lead kick-off meetings with cross-functional teams
11) Launched a roadshow of product weeks before go-live
12) Managed go-live efforts through operational transition
