High-Level Description
Connecting technologists with each other to better navigate the HCA landscape and help solve problems together.
- The Hub is Enterprise Technology & Architecture's bespoke application that helps us modernize our approach to enterprise architecture. At its core, the Hub is a catalog of Products, Technologies, Strategies, and Architectures. We build experiences such as the Architecture Review Board process on-top of this foundation of information.
The Need: We wanted to democratize access to advanced enterprise architecture information so that each team is empowered to make the right technological decisions that achieve their product goals and align with our technology strategy. After trying many approaches over the years, we recognized that we needed a specialized approach.
Product Vision: A rich, living, and engaging encyclopedia of products, technologies, architectures, strategies, and subject matter experts.
Objectives:
1) To elevate ITG’s collective consciousness on proper architecture, enterprise standards, and emerging technologies
2) To connect technologists with each other to better navigate the HCA landscape and help solve problems together
3) To improve product architectures, increase high availability, and enable a modern approach to enterprise architecture at scale
My Roles:
1) Ideation - As a Product Manager, I handled ideation process by designing & conducting user interviews, facilitating discovery sessions with the team and making decision to move forward with the most feasible one.
2) Workflow Management - I managed product scope, task breakdown and its delegation, and team communications.
3) Analysis and Strategy - I researched and continually improved my understanding of our user personas, so that I could confidently speak to the multi-sided user market. We had to meet the needs of the users that came to learn about products/technologies, product teams that created profiles for their products, and technical users that were assigned to evaluate product architecture and technology tools against HCA Healthcare's technology standards. How we prioritized features and enhancements were based on our understanding of these users and the most calculated, highest impacts we could achieve within our development resource limitations.
